What catch-up bookkeeping actually involves
Catch-up bookkeeping is the work of bringing neglected or incomplete books fully up to date. For most businesses that means going back through every bank and credit card statement, recording transactions that were never entered, categorizing them to the right accounts, and reconciling each month so the balances in your books match the balances at your bank.
It's detailed work, and it's easy to do badly. A backlog cleaned up carelessly just hides problems that resurface later. We rebuild your books month by month, so by the time we're done you have an accurate, reconciled record for the full period — not a rushed approximation.
